I'll never go back to teaching was what I heard myself telling several people when asked what I would do when my children start school. My job was to raise my own children, which was unlike what many people did. However, as time went on I felt I needed something to do while my fourth child was entering kindergarten. I started to rethink and prayed about what I was going to do. Substituting was an option, I could only sub at Elbow Creek which was the elementary school my children attended. If I didn't want to work one day because I had other things going on, then I could make that choice by not answering the phone. Maybe I had an appointment that day, or one of the kids was sick and I needed to stay home. Helping in my kid's class was something I enjoyed doing on a regular basis and there were four of them!
